Every studio can now have its own website

A studio's work belongs at its own address. Now every studio can have one: a website that opens on its series.

In short

Generated Worlds creators can build a studio website from templates made for AI drama, films and series: the front page plays their series, viewers unlock episodes on the page, brands reach them through a contact form, fans join a newsletter, and the site can run on the creator's own domain. Publishing on Generated Worlds is free; the site is from $39 a month.

The creators we talk to kept describing the same set-up: a portfolio on a website builder, episodes on a video host, a membership page somewhere else, and a link-in-bio page pointing at all three. Every tool had its own bill, and none of them knew what the others were doing — a viewer who paid on one met a paywall on the next.

01What a studio site does

  • The first screen plays the studio's series. Vertical episodes are shown whole, never cropped to fill a wide frame.
  • Free episodes first, then viewers unlock the next one on the same page. 80% of net revenue is allocated to the creator.
  • A contact form for brand deals and licensing that lands in the studio's Contact center.
  • A newsletter sign-up on every page, so a new episode reaches the people who asked for it.
  • An address at yourname.generatedworlds.com from the first minute, or the creator's own domain with the certificate handled.
  • Templates built for series, edited by clicking on the page: words, pictures, colours and which sections appear.

02How it is priced

Publishing stays free: on the Creator plan a creator publishes 1 new series a month on Generated Worlds. The plan pays for the site, and creators see and design it before they pay. Plans are Starter $39, Growth $99 and Scale $499 a month, with Established by contract from $2,500, and each one also opens more new series a month — 3 on Starter, 10 on Growth, 20 on Scale. Viewers can now tap a studio's name on the Generated Worlds player to open its site, and press "Request to go live" when it has not launched yet; the creator sees how many asked. Plans differ by features — newsletter sending and site analytics start on Growth — and by minutes watched on the site each month. A site that outgrows its minutes keeps playing; the creator is asked to move up.

What it does not do

It is a website, not an app. There are no branded TV or phone apps, and a studio site does not sell monthly subscriptions to a channel. If your audience wants a Roku channel and a monthly plan, Uscreen or Vimeo OTT is built for that. And a studio site does not bring an audience on its own — the link still has to be posted where people are.

Questions

Can I use my own domain for my Generated Worlds studio?
Yes, on every plan. Buy a domain from any registrar, add the DNS record the Domain tab shows, and the site answers on it once the certificate is issued. Until then it lives at yourname.generatedworlds.com.
What does a studio site cost?
Publishing on Generated Worlds is free on the Creator plan, 1 new series a month. The site is what a plan buys: you see and design it before you pay; Starter is $39, Growth $99 and Scale $499 a month; Established is by contract, from $2,500.
How is it different from Squarespace or Shopify?
Those build general websites and stores; selling episodes means adding a video host and a paywall. A studio site is built for serialized video, so the site, the player and per-episode payments are one product.
